Painting en plein air at the old MFA Grain Elevator in Hermann, MO

SUMMARY OF PLACE:
I was plein-air painting on this day with my friend, Billyo O'Donnell.  We were painting out of the backend of his mini-van, using the back bumper for a seat.  The morning was clear and bright, and the sky was a deep blue.
INSPIRATION:
The architecture of this old structure caught my attention.  The old building appears to be an evolution of tin-covered additions.  Angles, lines, and edges are running every which way.  My goal for this painting was to play a tune for the left brain.
