Painting en plein air at Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit, MO

SUMMARY OF PLACE:
It was the nearly the first warm day of the year.  The sky was clear except for some high, thin clouds. 
INSPIRATION:
Primarily what attracted me to this scene was the pink magnolia blossoms against the dark-green evergeens.  I was also struck by the yellow daffodils, also in bloom, sweeping across the field in front.
