Painting in studio, working from photographs taken at Faust Park

SUMMARY OF PLACE:
The morning was clear, and the early morning sun was streaking across the scene.
INSPIRATION:
This woman (Clare) lovingly tends this public flower garden in the park.  For the pleasure of all, she creates outdoor wildflower arrangements in a simple brown vase.  The studio painting completed on Jan 20, 2007, "Log Cabin Arrangement", captures one of Clare's arrangements.  I was inspired to capture the action of harvesting cut flowers, one of life's simple pleasures.
