This painting was created from a photograph of our friend's family dogs.  The photograph depicts breakfast time on their back porch.  Snow had fallen overnight, but the dogs do not seem to notice. 

My goal for this painting was to depict dogs intently waiting for their morning meal.  Secondarily, I wanted to show a dog's view of snow.  Generally, they love to romp and play in it, but what is most noticeable is their unawareness of the nondesirable aspects of it.  Muddy paws, cold feet, and slippery footing do not register.
