The Saint Louis Watercolor Society asked me to demo my watercolor painting technique at the January 2008 membership meeting.  Due to logistical concerns, I chose to work only from a photograph.  The subject I chose was a collection of Christmas-related objects. 

The varied collection of objects were predominantly warm in color.  The only cool color was the blue on the Christmas card.  With this bias toward warm, I decided to go with that flow and emphasize the warmth of Christmas by making the painting predominantly warm.
