"Augusta East Entrance, Early Spring"
Oil 12x16
Summary of Place:
Early spring had arrived in Augusta.
The grape vines still had not awoken from winter and new green growth was still absent.
The weather was mostly cloudy with only occasional sunshine.
Inspiration and Design:
Like Monet communicated his garden and Sorolla captured Spain, my work must say Missouri.
That is my goal and passion.
For this piece, I carefully select the lay of the land, the strength and color of light, and the genus of trees to capture my Missouri.
