My twin brother, Keith, and his wife, Mary Ryan, live in Maryland.  We visit often, and feasting on crabs is always high on the agenda.  As with the rest of "OLD BAY NATION", our choice of spice is a given.

My still life depicts the essentials of a crab feast in Maryland.  Several layers of newspaper cover the kitchen table.  Steamed blue crabs have been dumped in a pile near center.  "Old Bay" seasoning is at the ready, as is a wooden mallet.
