This is serious business.  Roping calves, and other cowhand business is not for the meek and mild, as one can get hurt in a hurry.  This cowboy was watching intently to the goings on of the other cowhands working the herd. 

My primary goal for this piece was two-fold.  I wanted to capture the gesture of a cowhand watching his responsibilities intently.  And secondly, I wanted to capture the feel of the Cheyenne River Valley landscape.
